General Manager Logistics and Assets
Andrew’s role is to provide his manager's and staff support in the day to day operation of the business & future customer requirements.
Andrew started off driving trucks throughout Tasmania in 1997 till 1999 before spending time with Chas Kelly Transport in 2000 in their operations learning other tools before coming back to Spectran in 2002.
Chief Financial Officer
Clive is a Chartered Accountant with 18 years’ experience across Australia and the UK in a diverse range of industries including utilities, construction, retirement communities, transport, environmental management and financial services.
Clive has worked at global companies such as Ernst & Young, Deutche Bank & Lloyds TSB, as well as Western Power and Australian Unity before joining us at Spectran Group.
General Manager Civil Construction
In recent years one of the most satisfying parts of my role as General Manager has been to see the growth of the Spectran Group inclusive of the maturing of the Spectran Group team of employees, through hard work and a commitment to satisfying the needs of our clients we have developed an extremely experienced management team as well as skilled, loyal and committed workforce who can work in harmony to get the best out of all projects undertaken.
General Manager Environmental Services
Entering the business into the role of General Manager – Environmental Services, Mark comes to us all the way from Scotland where he has over 25 years of operational management and business support experience. Having spent most of his career in the environmental services industry both in South Australia and Scotland; Mark brings a proven track record that we are excited to see him continue with Spectran Group here in Tasmania.
Spectran Transport Manager
Danni has work with Spectran Group for many years, and has developed his role in the company to undertake the operations of our transport department. He has the ability and management skills to run our fleet and organize interstate transport on a schedule and well budgeted structure.
His role ensures he manages all our transport drivers, their safety and scheduling for their day to day transport moves to ensure a well-run and compliant job is complete.
Traffic Contracts Manager
David has worked in the Traffic Management Industry for the past 24 years.
He has previously worked at the Hobart City Council for 13 years in the areas of Technical Officer and Traffic Engineering.
Traffic and Labour Manager
Peter’s knowledge in Technology and Computing at the University of Tasmania prior to starting his role with Spectran Group in 2013 has helped develop his role over the years. Peter has over 8 years combined experience over multiple industries and institutions. This, and participation in various volunteer organisations, has helped him develop a wide range of professional, educational and leadership related experiences and skills
Environmental Solutions Manager
Josh’s background in agriculture, renewable energy, transport and waste delivers a broad and sound understanding of our client’s challenges and how best to find solutions.
His business experience and acumen drives positive and sustainable commercial outcomes for our customers.
Waste Services Manager
Ian’s role in the company has developed overtime and due to his background, his knowledge has enabled growth with his role and the company. Ian is a key member in our team, and his knowledge over his years of experience and qualifications, has enabled him to develop and grow his role at Spectran Group.
Eric’s ability to produce sales, exceed targets and lead a team in a highly skilled industry gives him the ability to be a key member of our team.
He has experience operating machines and working as a civil labourer, developing his skills over the years undertaking the management of commercial logistics and stock.
Senior Projects ManagerMichael Fleming is employed at Spectran Group as a Project Manager on Civil and Specialised Construction Projects for key clients. Michael role involves working with the client to prove and realise development concept budgets with the intent to establish a Development Approval, followed by successful project implementation and completion.
Senior Projects ManagerSimon is a chartered engineer and his experience over the years on key projects has established his skills and management skills to conduct projects. His role is predominantly the project management of major projects within the company. Major projects can constitute any specialist project or larger contract that our clients require.
Tim started his career in his trade as a Boiler Maker welder and overtime his role dealt with plant maintenance fitter, to quarry operations supervisor and mobile /fixed plant operation, supervisor.
Business Development Manager
Colin has over 15 years operational and technical experience across many industries in Tasmania and on the mainland, including construction, manufacturing and healthcare.
Colin has an extensive background as an experienced sales manager reporting and a very successful track record in autonomously developing and implementing growth strategies to benefit both the staff and customers.
Safety, Quality and Environmental Manager
Jeffrey is an HSE Professional with experience in the Heavy Maritime and Water & Sewer Industries before joining Spectran Group in 2019.

He has been involved in the project management of major projects state-wide and interstate and undertaken a range of specialize civil and environmental projects for key clients specifically requiring specialized service outcomes.Chris’s attitude towards undertaking problems with various jobs has determined his history in successful and efficient completion of jobs. He has the ability to work with customers to determine a positive outcome for all and to ensure an efficient and safe job is completed. His main role in the company is to assist and overview key projects for customers and clients to achieve a successful and positive outcome.

Andrew has a great team of people, and with his experience and knowledge throughout his time at Spectran and other business he can enable his business to provide our customer solutions to their requirements.
Andrew role is to manage all our SEM safety, invoicing and customer requirements daily to manage all operational pressure to provide our staff the support they require.
Andrew is very passionate in providing our customer a solution to reduce their cost and proving a safer and better outcome.
Senior Projects ManagerSimon is a chartered engineer and his experience over the years on key projects has established his skills and management skills to conduct projects.His role is predominantly the project management of major projects within the company. Major projects can constitute any specialist project or larger contract that our clients require.Simon’s ability to implement his knowledge and manage his team has enabled him to successfully facilitate a job to the customers satisfaction. His ability to communicate and adapt allows him to supervise and coordinate major specialised projects with our clients.
Reinstatement and infrastructure manager, resourcing skilled labour.Daryll’s role at Spectran Group is managing reinstatement works, quoting works for new clientele as well as having a regular clientele base. His management skills allow him to efficiently communicate with colleagues, clients and customers and build strong relationships with our customers.Daryll has experience working in gas, electricity and communications, and now undertakes the role of resourcing skilled labour for our demolition and civil projects. He has a vast knowledge in these fields, and his role strengthens our company to deliver the best results for our customers with the most skilled and resourceful team.
His management skills allow him to efficiently communicate with colleagues, clients and customers.His experience working in a number of skilled areas has enabled his role to develop in the company and undertake a team efficiently and confidently.Along with his role, his experience has led him to be involved in the natural gas roll out and more recently the NBN roll out in Hobart Tasmania.
Asbestos and Contamination Manager
Brooklyn has extensive experience in the Asbestos, WHAS, demolition and construction industry. His ability to be efficient and well-organized has led him to have an extensive career in this industry, and his attention to detail has led him to specialized and lead our team.
Brooklyn’s credentials in the asbestos industry have enabled him to specialize his skill set and further his career and achievements in this industry.
Brooklyn’s experiences being a full-time asbestos site supervisor and assessor, along with his ability to plan and execute friable asbestos contaminated soil removal jobs, has determined his role at Spectran Group and is crucial in managing our team successfully. Along with operating a wide range of heavy machinery on sites, Brooklyn has the ability to prepare site/task specific SWMS, liaise with governing bodies, quote on projects, liaise with clients along with organize the operation of the removal team. This gives him the advantage to cover all aspects of an asbestos job from start to finish and safety complete and manage the job.
Fields of Expertise:
His role with Spectran Group began in 2015 and is a Project Manager at Spectran.
His responsibilities in the company are managing demolition projects and quoting projects as well looking after specialized projects. Tim’s background has enabled his role at Spectran Group to be broad and allowed him to take on major projects and high-risk asbestos jobs and become a major asset for our company over the years.
Safety, Quality and Environmental ManagerJeffrey is an HSE Professional with experience in the Heavy Maritime and Water & Sewer Industries before joining Spectran Group in 2019.Prior to working at Spectran, Jeff was the SMS Coordinator and was the Department Manager (Health & Safety) at Tas Water. His experience in the leadership, development, management and application of organisation wide systems, behavioural programs and initiatives has enable him to implement these skills into his role at Spectran Group.Jeff has developed his own personal skills over the years developing his skills and qualifications such as:
HR ManagerThe HR & Payroll division manages recruitment, onboarding, training and development for employees.We oversee the weekly payroll operations ensuring over 170 employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner.We also administer workers compensation claims and return to work programs, working closely with the Safety, Quality and Environmental Division to ensure all employees have a safe workplace.The HR & Payroll division also deals with general employee queries and concerns, and we are in the early stages of developing an employee health and well-being program.
